Along with Vulne Pro studio’s original work on the Theos KE Polemos project, every now and then, I’m going to post some of the fan works we’ve gotten since the TKP works began to gradually build a following online. This is a fantastic example to kick things off: a low poly game style 3D model of the Harma Bhatra 4th gen combat FOIL by Devaint artist Seig Verdelet.
To say I was both surprised and quite impressed by this one is an understatement. Seig Verdelet picked one of the more visually complex FOILs to model and he did a fantastic job, even lacking orthos to work from (his interpretation of the back isn’t far from what it would be if I had done othos). Very nice work indeed. Please take a gander at his original post on Deviant art (along with his entire gallery, some nice 3D mecha work goin’ down) and download the 3D viewer to get a gander at this bad boy in 360 degree rotatable view. It even has a cool little video game idle animation going on :) Again my thanks to Seig Verdelet for taking the time to create this great homage piece.
Note: you’ll have to visit Sieg Verdelet’s original post below to actually download the 3D viewer. Click download file, to the right of the image of the FOIL in his post. It’s well worth checking out with the full 360 views.
